Ways To Share
On this page, you’ll find all the tools you need to spread the word about composites. Search engines want you to provide relevant resources on your website that enhance your visitor’s experiences while surfing the web.
Linking to an outside resource that covers a similar topic makes it easier for visitors to find what they want.
Sidebars and footers should be used for advertising and call to action items, not for linking to content.
Tip #2: Use Descriptive Anchor Text
Anchor text includes the visible characters and words that hyperlinks display when linking to another webpage.
Descriptive anchor text helps visitors and search engines understand what type of content you are directing them to.
Anchor text such as “click here” or “learn more” does not help your visitors understand what they’re clicking.
Tip #3: Use Descriptive Alternative Text
If for any reason your visitor can’t see an image, alternative text appears in a blank box that would normally contain the image.
A literal, concise tag is the best option for alternative image text. Some images need more description for context.
Using no alternative text or non-descriptive text will leave visitors confused about what they are looking at.
Tip #4: Use Descriptive Image Names
The keywords within your image file names are just as important to search engines as the text of your webpage.
When naming images, use descriptive text and dashes to separate words. Search engines see dashes as spaces.
Search engines crawl for image names. You could miss an opportunity to gain traffic by not naming images well.
